Exactly! Even if the restaurant is busy, you have as much right to be there as anyone! I find, though, that service is usually pretty fast because they don't want you to take the table for too long. Bring a book or notebook or just scroll on your phone and the wait will seem very short in any case!

It is completely okay and no big deal but I feel a bit uncomfortable. I only go inside if the restaurant is empty.

A notebook is a good idea and then I can get something done at the same time. I think the main problem is that you just sit there and has nothing to do.

Also good advice to take your time. Sometimes the waitresses can make you feel less important because you are alone.

Well, obviously, I disagree. Some people feel a lot of trepidation about dining out alone - they feel awkward and self-conscious. The point was to reassure them. If you don't feel uncomfortable dining alone, that's great! I wonder, though, what you came here looking for - perhaps there are tips about something else that you want? I'd be happy to hear what content I could provide that would help.

What a useless article, as if toddlers would go outside and dine alone. If someone considers dining alone, they are way past the point of worrying about such a mundane things in such a casual situation.
