They must have pubs (bars) in the Pacific Northwest, but they won’t have the kind of long history that English pubs can have! I suppose some on the East Coast might. According to Stan, who commented earlier, the Latin phrase could also be interpreted as “Always keep your eye on the ball.” which makes a lot more sense!
