I’ve always loved castles as well. When I was young I spent a lot of time building them with construction sets – mine were always square too!

If I were to draw a castle it would probably look a lot like this. It’s classic and beautiful. We love paintings that depict period life, but “The Baker of Eeklo” is one of the most amusing we’ve seen. Love the history and article.

What a gorgeous castle! You’re right — Muiderslot does look like a child’s depiction of a castle. It’s beautiful outside, but it looks as though the interior is just as inviting. I love the Prince’s Room. So cozy! The paintings you share are so interesting. That’s what I love about exploring: you never know what you’ll find. You found a treasure, indeed.

You found a good one on your bike tour. What a colorful history, especially Hoofts’, That table in the Prince Room looks awesome. And the single tree on the cobblestoned courtyard
