I agreed but on the othere hand, there is fun and satisfaction you can find in Mumbai only… Mumbai locals are jam-packed in rush hour, also stations are not so clean earlier thanks to bjp gov now it’s clean. if you are planning to visit Mumbai come before the monsoon. That is before June and after September, Mumbai rains are horrible. People are sparingly warm. Travel in bus but beware of pick picketers. Also, carry water along with you and some fast food. Don’t eat roadside food. Travel with the person whom you know and who knows Mumbai. Mumbai pav bhaji is good you can have at good Jain hotel.

Great article on Mumbai and one that we will bookmark for future reference. We are still to do Mumbai only having done Kerala and Goa. I suspect that they are easy compared to Mumbai. We will consider doing a tour as well.

Very similar to my first experience of India Rachel, I could relate a lot to your experiences. The food is definitely worth being more adventurous with in future. I travelled up north to Punjab and drank local ‘lassi’ it was life changing I’m still craving it!

I loved your conclusion about Mumbai, the “appetizer that succeeded in whetting my appetite.” India is such a fascinating country and the positive and negative responses to it show it to be a country of many facets which is the holy grail for those who love travel.
