In reply to Bethan. Absolutely. I think it's great that they use local agencies because that means the money goes into the local economy, and because they know the place best. At least judging by the short tour I took, they choose their contractors carefully. (And you visited two gorgeous places! I grew up in Connecticut, and it's beautiful, especially in the fall!)

We have used Audley travel for a trip to New England and to the Canadian Rockies. Both excellent. They stand out from other agencies as consultants visit the area and majority of hotels. Yes they do you local agencies but in our experience that worked really well. They listen and really do tailor make a package just for you. They come up with ideas that you may never have thought of. For us talking to someone that have visited the locations is key.

In reply to Regina. I came across this blog and noticed your comment about Morocco. We used Audley for a trip to Morocco before the pandemic, they did a great job at picking hotels and made our trip seamless as we visited four cities. We had one driver for the entire trip. Guides were welcoming and knowledgeable.
